Key Responsibilities

The safety officer, helpers is responsible for directing vehicles and workers to ensure safe and efficient operations. They must position themselves at strategic points to guide traffic, use hand signals or flags to communicate directions, and coordinate with site supervisors and equipment operators. The Flagman also monitors potential hazards, reports unsafe conditions, and ensures that all workers and visitors comply with safety protocols. In high-risk environments, such as S-Chem projects, the Flagman must strictly follow approved safety standards to prevent incidents.

Skills and Knowledge

To perform effectively, a safety officer must have strong situational awareness, quick reflexes, and clear communication skills. Experience in industrial or construction projects, particularly in chemical or high-risk zones, is highly valued. Holding a valid S-Chem Experience Card is a mandatory requirement for this role. Knowledge of safety signals, traffic control, and hazard awareness is essential. Applicants must also be physically fit, attentive, and capable of working in demanding site conditions.
